WePlay Academy League 3: Astralis and Spirit Make it to the LAN Finals

The online stage of WePlay Academy League Season 3 has concluded with Astralis Talent and Spirit Academy advancing to the tournament’s LAN-finals. These teams made it through the Play-In stage.

Since Astralis placed last in Group A, they had to make it all the way through the Play-In bracket. There they defeated Fnatic Rising (2-1), NAVI Junior (2-1) and Young Ninjas (2-0). Meanwhile Team Spirit Academy, who earlier finished second in Group B, started the Play-In stage in its finals. There they managed to defeat VP.Prodigy with a 2-0 score.

Now Astralis and Spirit will compete in the tournament’s LAN-finale, which is scheduled to take place on February 11th – 13th in Kyiv, Ukraine. There they will face BIG Academy and MOUZ NXT, who earlier placed first in their groups. The teams will play in a double-elimination bracket for a $88,000 prize pool.
