TI10 Viewers Can get Twitch Drops and Cheer for their Teams

The International 10 begins later today, and VALVE have presented several improvements for the viewer experience. Among them are a new cheering feature and an integration with Twitch.

To somewhat compensate for the absence of live audience during the event, VALVE have created a cheering feature for spectators that is available in-game and soon will become available via Twitch as well. Viewers can click on the team logos to send a cheer. The system will calculate the sum of cheers from the entire audience and display it via visual and audio effects.

While watching TI10 games on Twitch, fans will be able turn on an overlay with several cool features: checking items and abilities tooltips, completing in-game predictions to get Compendium Points, and earning Twitch Drops by watching 1 hour of any matches to receive The International 2021 Lineage Treasure. To get the drops, you need to bind your Steam ID to your Twitch account in the settings.

Today is the first day of the group stage of The International 10. The teams have been seeded into two round-robin groups yesterday as follows:

  • Group A: Alliance, Evil Geniuses, Invictus Gaming, OG, T1, Team Aster, Team Undying, Thunder Predator, Virtus.pro
  • Group B: Elephant, Fnatic, PSG.LGD, Quincy Crew, SG e-sports, Team Secret, Team Spirit, Vici Gaming, beastcoast
