SEMPHIS Returns to CS:GO to Coach Gaimin Gladiators

32-years-old Canadian Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen has returned to the professional CS:GO scene after a 9-months break. He has joined a North American team Gaimin Gladiators as a coach.

SEMPHIS started his career in 2012 and in the earlier years played for various notable teams of the region, among which were Complexity (2013 – 2014), Cloud 9 (2014 – 2015), Team SoloMid (2016) and Splyce (2017 – 2018).

Since last summer, SEMPHIS has been inactive. Due to his eyesight issues and an older age, he believes that playing competitively is no longer a reasonable option and instead he will switch to the coaching role. In Gaimin Gladiators, he will try to help the younger players with “slow and steady improvements” and to implement a practice schedule.

Gaimin Gladiators are now competing in ESL Challenger League 40. There they currently are placed 3rd in Group B with a 4-2 score – they managed to defeat BHOP, oNe, X13, and Eros, but losing to Party Astronauts and MIBR.

Gaimin Gladiators:

  • Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly
  • Dominick "JazzPimp" Dimpfel
  • Jeorge "jeorgesnorts" Endicott
  • David "cynic" Polster
  • Otto "garfield" Netteberg
  • Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen (coach)
