OG Failed to Qualify for PGL Stockholm Major

In-between the group stage and the playoffs of IEM Fall: Europe, the teams placed 3rd in the groups are competing in the 9-12th place tiebreaker. Based on the results of the first two matches, OG lost their chances to qualify for the major.

Yesterday OG lost to FaZe Clan in the 9-10th place match with a 1-2 score – Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen’s team managed to win Inferno (16:14), while Finn "karrigan" Andersen and co. won Ancient (16:14) and Mirage (16:4). This result means that OG will not be able to partake at PGL Stockholm Major, while simultaneously making it so that mousesports, who placed 4th in Group A, qualified for the major.

In the parallel match BIG faced Heroic, ending the series with a 2-0 score in their favour – the German team outplayed their opponents on Nuke (19:17) and Vertigo (16:9). This victory secured them a place at the major, while Heroic will also participate in the event due to their earlier results throughout the season.

The tiebreakers will conclude later today – BIG will face FaZe, while Heroic will compete with OG. Both series are scheduled for 4:00 PM UK time.
