NAVI Reveal New Dota 2 Roster with Solo and ALOHADANCE
The Ukrainian organization Natus Vincere has revealed its new Dota 2 roster. The team has been assembled by Ivan "Artstyle" Antonov, who has been hired to lead the organization’s Dota 2 division and be the team’s coach.
Two core players – Alik "V-Tune" Vorobey and Vladimir "No[o]ne" Minenko – have remained in the team. Besides that, The team’s former offlaner Viktor "GeneRaL" Nigrini is also back to the main roster after being on a bench since April.
Two new members of the team are a 23-years-old Ukrainian player Ilya "ALOHADANCE" Korobkin, who will play as a semi-support, and a 31-years-old Russian player Alexey "Solo" Berezin, who will be the team’s new captain. While ALOHADANCE has not been competing on the professional level since 2020, Solo has spent the entire last season by playing for various mixes without any success.
The organization also changed the team’s manager – this position has been taken by a 28-years-old Russian Alexander "Lk-" Lemeshev, who earlier worked as a manager for CS:GO rosters of Vega Squadron and Team Unique. The new roster is expected to come to a monthly bootcamp in Kyiv in mid-September.
Earlier in July NAVI decided to bench their entire Dota 2 roster due to underwhelming results. The organization also adjusted their approach to the discipline – instead of giving a lot of autonomy to players, they decided to appoint one person responsible for everything. Now we know that this person is ArtStyle, who was NAVI’s captain in 2010 – 2011 and in 2015, as well as Virtus.pro’s coach in 2017 – 2018 and in 2020.
