NAVI and Gambit Are in Different Groups of IEM Katowice

ESL have revealed the groups for their upcoming CS:GO event IEM Season XVI – Katowice. Two teams from the CIS regions, who are currently the leaders of the world rating – NAVI and Gambit – have been seeded into different groups. The groups look as follows:

• Group A: Team Vitality, Heroic, Virtus.pro, Gambit Esports
• Group B: Natus Vincere, FURIA Esports, Team Liquid, G2 Esports

The organizers have also revealed the bracket for the tournament’s first Play-In stage, which will feature sixteen teams competing in a double-elimination bracket. The first matches will follow a best-of-one format and be played on February 15th (UK time):

• 10:00 AM: NiP vs Wisla Krakow, CPHF vs Fnatic, GODSENT vs MOUZ
• 11:15 AM: Sprout vs FaZe
• 11:40 AM: OG vs RNG, ENCE vs Entropiq
• 12:30 PM: COL vs BIG
• 1:20 PM: Astralis vs MIBR

IEM Katowice 2022 is scheduled for February 15th – 27th and will be played in Katowice, Poland, with its playoffs being supposed to take place at the Spoked Arena. The tournament’s line-up includes 24 teams that will split the event’s $1,000,000 prize pool.
