NAVI and G2 to IEM Cologne’s Semifinals

In the upper bracket finals of the group stage at IEM Cologne 2021, G2 Esports defeated Gambit Esports (2-1), while NAVI outplayed Astralis (2-1). The winners of these series will start the playoffs stage from the semifinals, while the losers will play in the quarterfinals, where they will face the lower bracket winners – Virtus.pro and FaZe Clan.

The event will resume this Friday, on July 16th. In the first quarterfinal Astralis will face Virtus.pro, a match-up that has not happed since this March, when the Danish team defeated the “bears” with a 2-1 score at ESL Pro League Season 13. Meanwhile the second quarterfinal will feature Gambit competing with FaZe for the first time ever.
