Liquid Sign MATUMBAMAN and Bench Qojqva
Team Liquid are continuing to shuffle their Dota 2 roster. This time, the organization announced the addition of Lasse Aukusti "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen. Meanwhile Max "qojqva" Bröcker has been benched and will become the organization’s streamer. The player stressed however that he is not going to stop competing and will probably switch to the third position.
MATUMBAMAN just recently departed from Team Secret, with whom he managed to place 3rd at the recent The International 10. This is not the first time the Finnish player joins Team Liquid – he represented the organization between 2015 and 2019, when the organization featured a completely different line-up led by Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi, which currently plays under the Nigma Galaxy tag.
Between late 2019, when Team Liquid signed former Alliance roster, and this transfer period, Liquid competed without a single roster change. While this year the team successfully competed in the upper division of the European DPC league, where they placed 4th in the first season and 2nd in the second one, their performance on the majors was lacklustre, and the team failed to qualify for The International 10.
Earlier this month Liquid announced the addition of former Team Secret player Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg. However, the organization did not reveal his role in the roster. Even with qojqva on the bench, the roster still consists of six players. Meanwhile on official registration page Liquid added only iNsania, m1Cke and zai.
