How the Next Dota Pro Circuit Will Look Like

Following the conclusion of The International 10, VALVE have recently shared information about the upcoming season of Dota Pro Circuit. The most significant difference from the previous season is the increase in number of regional leagues and majors from two to three.

Overall, the season will include three “Tours”, with each of them consisting of six regional leagues and a major. Just as before, each regional league will have two divisions of eight teams. Best teams from upper divisions – four teams from each Western Europe and China, three teams from both Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, and two teams from each North America and South America – will qualify for majors.

Each subsequent Tour grants teams more DPC points. The total amount of points will determine twelve participants of The International 11. The final six participants will be the winners of closed regional qualifiers.

The current transfer period will conclude on November 21st, while the competition within regional leagues will begin on November 29th and continue until January 23rd. The first major is scheduled for February. The wording on the official website suggests that the company plans to organize TI11 next summer.

The previous Dota Pro Circuit concluded last month with The International 10, where Team Spirit managed to defeat PSG.LGD (3-2) in the grand finals and claimed $18,208,300 in prize money.
