GODSENT and Sharks Eliminated from PGL Stockholm Major

GODSENT and Sharks have become the first two teams to be eliminated from the ongoing PGL Major Stockholm 2021. In the third round of the New Challengers stage GODSENT lost to Astralis (0-2), while Sharks were defeated by paiN (1-2). Having lost three games in a row, both teams placed last at the major and did not win any prize money.

Today the event will continue with the fourth round, where 12 teams will be split into two subgroups. Teams with a 2-1 score – BIG, Heroic, Virtus.pro, Spirit, ENCE, and Entropiq – will compete with each other to advance to the major’s next stage. Meanwhile Astralis, Movistar Riders, MOUZ, TYLOO, Renegades, and paiN Gaming, who have a 1-2 score, will play in elimination matches.

Earlier we reported that FaZe Clan and Copenhagen Flames became the first two teams to make it through the New Challengers stage. The stage will conclude tomorrow, on October 29th, determining eight teams that will continue their journey through the major in its next stage, The New Legends.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is a $2,000,000 LAN-event that is being held from October 26th to November 7th in Sweden’s capital. The tournament’s final stage is expected to take place at Avicii Arena.
