Nouns Clinch Victory Over B8, Secure Spot at The International 2023

On August 22nd, the North American qualifiers for The International 2023 came to a close, revealing the 14th team to participate in TI2023.

Nouns advanced to the grand finals through the upper bracket, overcoming challenges from Sand King Gómez, Wildcard Gaming, and Team DogChamp. B8 emerged as the second finalist. They initially lost to Wildcard Gaming in the first round of the upper bracket but then dominated in the lower bracket, besting TiltedBoys, Sand King Gómez, felt, taking revenge on Wildcard Gaming, and defeating Team DogChamp in the lower bracket finals.

The final best-of-5 series concluded with a 3:0 victory in favor of nouns. The decisive maps wrapped up in 35, 26, and 56 minutes respectively.

Nouns have now secured their spot at The International 2023, joining the Chinese qualifier winner Azure Ray and teams that have already qualified through the DPC: Team Liquid, Gaimin Gladiators, Tundra Esports, 9Pandas, Evil Geniuses, PSG.LGD, Shopify Rebellion, Talon Esports, beastcoast, Team Spirit, TSM, and BB Team.
