The tournament organizer BLAST has revealed its concrete plans for upcoming competitions.

From December 2024 to November 2026, BLAST is set to host 9 events:

All tournaments are expected to follow the same format, featuring 10 directly invited teams. There has been no announcement regarding closed qualifiers.

The prize pool for each tournament will be $1,000,000.

BLAST Announces Dates for 9 Dota 2 Tournaments

In the night of October 1st to 2nd, Valve released a minor gameplay patch 7.37d for Dota 2.

The update adjusted the balance for most heroes and some items. Support and offlaner items were hit the hardest, with nerfs to Solar Crest, Pipe of Insight, Bracer, Guardian Greaves, and Arcane Boots.

Patch 7.37d Released for Dota 2

Tundra Esports has officially revealed the fifth and final player who will represent the team in the upcoming competitive season.

Nightfall has joined as the team's carry, having transferred from BB Team.

It’s worth mentioning that Tundra Esports previously announced the addition of 33 and the return of Saksa from inactivity to the main roster. The team’s midlaner will be lorenof, recruited from Aurora Gaming.

Tundra Esports' first tournament of the season will be PGL Wallachia Season 2, which kicks off on October 4. However, before that, the club announced the use of two stand-ins. Due to visa issues, the team’s temporary carry for the tournament will be Shad, and MidOne will step in as the midlaner.

Tundra Officially Announces New Dota 2 Roster

On the night of October 1st, the final teams qualified for DreamLeague Season 24 were revealed.

A total of 10 slots were up for grabs across 6 regions:

All DreamLeague Season 24 Qualifier Winners Determined

Team Spirit has announced an updated roster that will represent the organization in the upcoming competitive season.

Replacing Yatoro and Mira, who have moved to inactive status, Satanic and rue have joined the team as the new carry and support, respectively. The club also announced that Collapse has decided to take a break until January 2025. In his absence, offlaner Malik will stand in for Team Spirit during the upcoming tournaments.

Team Spirit holds direct invitations to PGL Wallachia Season 2 and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, scheduled to take place from October 4-13 and October 19-26.

Satanic, rue, and Malik Join Team Spirit

Tundra Esports has announced that their midlaner, Topson, has decided to retire from his professional gaming career.

Topson began his pro career in 2017, and in 2018, he won The International after joining OG. The following year, he repeated this feat with OG.

From November 2021 to September 2023, Topson was on OG's inactive roster, during which time he stood in for T1 for a period of three months. In September 2023, the midlaner joined Tundra Esports, with whom he participated in several tournaments and qualifiers. The team's most notable achievements during this time were a 4th place finish at Riyadh Masters 2024 and 3rd place at The International 2024.

Tundra Esports has yet to officially announce who will take over as the team's new midlaner.

Topson Retires from Dota 2

Team Spirit has announced that their carry and support players are going inactive. The reason cited is exhaustion from an intense competitive schedule over the course of nearly four years.

It has not yet been officially announced who will replace the players in Team Spirit's roster. Whether the organization will make other changes to the lineup is also currently unknown.

Raddan and Mira have been playing for Spirit since the end of 2020 to early 2021, during which time they helped the team win The International twice, along with several other prestigious tournaments. In the current competitive season, the team won the PGL Wallachia Season 1 but did not achieve major success in other key tournaments.

Notably, the team placed 9th-12th at The International 2024 and finished 7th-8th at the Riyadh Masters 2024.

Raddan and Mira Take a Break from Pro-Dota

﻿On the evening of September 15, the main Dota 2 tournament of the year came to an end﻿.

Team Liquid advanced to the grand finals through the upper bracket of the playoffs, having only lost once during the entire tournament: to Team Spirit in the group stage with a 0-2 score. All other matches ended in victories, with Liquid winning every series 2-0.

The second finalist was Gladiators, who also started the playoffs in the upper bracket but lost to Liquid in the winners’ finals, dropping to the lower bracket. There, the team narrowly defeated Tundra Esports (2-1) and secured their spot in the grand finals.

The Best-of-5 grand final started with a swift victory for Liquid in just 29 minutes, followed by two more maps won without significant resistance. The final score was 3-0.

The total prize pool for TI 2024 was $2,580,000, with the winners receiving $1,161,205 and Gladiators taking home $361,269. For all Liquid players except 33, this marked their first victory at The International. 33 had previously won TI in 2022 with Tundra Esports.
