Valve Introduces Major Vertigo Rework and Economy Adjustments in Latest CS2 Update
On the night of May 23rd, Valve released a gameplay update for Counter-Strike 2. In the new patch, the developers addressed a wide range of gameplay aspects.
For instance, the height of flames from incendiary grenades and Molotov cocktails now decreases over time, and the area of effect and duration of incendiary grenades have been reduced. Incendiary grenades have also become cheaper: $500 instead of $600.
The developers also made other changes to the economy: the price of the M4A4 has been reduced from $3100 to $3000, and the team reward for planting the bomb has been reduced to $600 (previously $800).
Valve made changes to the maps, and while on Baggage, Office, and Mirage the developers simply fixed bugs, Vertigo underwent a significant rework. All changes affected point A.
The full list of changes and improvements can be found on the game's official website.
