ALTERNATE aTTaX Secures Final Spot for IEM Cologne 2024

The final 24th team for IEM Cologne 2024 has been determined following the open qualifiers.

The open qualifiers were held for teams from Germany. Sixty-three teams registered for the open qualifiers, which were seeded into a single-elimination bracket with a best-of-3 grand final, where ALTERNATE aTTaX and Versagertrupp faced off. In the final, ALTERNATE aTTaX emerged victorious, dominating their opponent on both maps.

Thus, all 24 participants of the tournament have been confirmed: Team Spirit, FaZe Clan, MOUZ, G2 Esports, Team Vitality, Natus Vincere, Astralis, and Virtus.pro will start IEM Cologne 2024 from the group stage.

In the play-in stage, HEROIC, Eternal Fire, Team Falcons, Complexity Gaming, 9z Team, The MongolZ, FlyQuest, Team Liquid, Imperial Esports, FURIA Esports, BIG, BB Team, paiN Gaming, MIBR, SAW, and ALTERNATE aTTaX will compete.

IEM Cologne 2024 will take place in Germany from August 7 to 18. The tournament's prize pool is $1,000,000, and the winner will also receive invitations to IEM Katowice 2025 and BLAST Premier World Final.
