Elephant Disband their Roster
Chinese Dota 2 team Elephant has disbanded. Despite previous plans to compete next season without roster changes, the team’s management decided to release all players and their coach by terminating their contracts.
Thus, most members of the roster – Zhang "Eurus" Chengjun, Lu "Somnus丶M" Yao, Zhou "Yang" Haiyang, Xu "fy" Linsen and Bai "rOtK" Fan are now free agents. Meanwhile Xie "Super" Junhao, who played for Elephant on loan, still has an active contract with Royal Never Give Up.
Following Elephant’s disappointing run at The International 10, where they placed 13th – 16th after losing to EG (0-1) in the playoffs first round, there were rumours that multiple members of the team might transfer to Team Aster. In response, the team’s manager Dong Hang revealed their plans to retain the roster for the upcoming season.
Currently some former Elephant players still remain in Romania and the organization tries to help them come back home. The players do not have a lot of time to find new teams, as the transfer period ends next week, on November 21st.
