Daps to Coach Evil Geniuses CS:GO Squad
Evil Geniuses have announced a new coach for their CS:GO roster – it is a former Counter Strike and VALORANT player Damian "daps" Steele. He will help the team to prepare for the upcoming IEM XVI – Cologne.
27-years-old Canadian Daps played CS:GO professionally from 2012 to 2020 – his most successful team was NRG Esports, with whom he won IEM XIII – Shanghai and cs_summit 3 in 2018. During his career he also represented Optic Gaming, Cloud9 and Gen.G Esports. Last year he switched to VALORANT, where he also played for NRG. Being unable to find success in the new discipline, Daps retired from VALORANT earlier this month.
In Evil Geniuses he will replace Wilton "zews" Prado, who was benched on June 2nd. The team has quite a few events ahead – they are listed as participants of the upcoming IEM XVI – Cologne (July 6th – 18th), ESL Pro League 14 (August 16th – September 12th), and BLAST Premier: Fall Groups (September 16th – 26th).
